I think sometimes people need to listen up before they get all wound up. A couple weeks ago on our way to ANC we had Eva in front of us. He called us up on guard to let us know he was getting very cold temps and had a low fuel temp situation. Just as he warned us we got an amber fuel temp EICAS as well. As we talked back and forth trying to help figure out what to do (we sped up and descended, but he was low on fuel for both options), some guy kept chiming in with the "YOU"RE ON GUARD!!!". Eva replied, "WE KNOW!!!!". Anyway, in this case it was not an emergency but we were talking trying to avert an emergency for the MD11 in front of us. He had no choice but to speed up and descend creating a fuel problem. Luckily, the area of the extreme temps was fairly small and we both got out of it soon after. He climbed back up and got there no problem. All the while the guard Nazi kept his little tantrum going.
