Southwest used to require people to have a 737 type rating to get hired there is justification for paying newbies around 15% of what “someone’s who’s been around and knows a thing or two” gets paid in the same seat and equipment at the same company. Got it!! Oh yeah and if it wasn’t for the first year guys making so little, the company wouldn’t have been profitable and no one would have gotten profit sharing checks either. Glad we’re on the same page.
