In 2 months we have seen half as many fatalities as influenza, and the country has adopted social distancing as a mitigation factor. You can quote .01% or whatever, but this thing infects EVERYONE. If it gets into a nursing home almost everyone will die.
Thats not really true and the flu is just as deadly in nursing homes. The fact we have a flu vaccination that most nursing homes require helps.

For example, Morens and Rash [1] reported an outbreak of influenza A infection in a 37-bed unit of a 5-ward nursing home in Honolulu, Hawaii, that affected 28% of exposed residents, even though 92% of residents had received influenza vaccine prior to the outbreak. Moreover, 6 (55%) of 11 infected residents died of their illness.

Sorry, but it's not a flu. It is easily contagious like a flu, butt's way more deadly. There's a reason the whole world is taking it seriously. This talking point that "it's just a flu and the media is blowing it up" becomes a dangerous political game that's gonna jeopardize the recovery, and even further delay the economical rebound.
