I've been trying to get people from there to apply here at Republic. We are hiring like crazy. Since my DOH Nov 19th there is already 150 pilots underneath me in seniority (Republic has one master seniority list). The majority of the the classes after mine have been mostly into the 170 either on the Republic or S5 side(about 4 classes since mine). However, they are doing a 145/CRJ 200 class the 30th of this month. Despite this I think they will continue to hire into the 170. Word of advice though, if after the interview you want the 170, when they other say the 145...You must have a really good reason going into the 170 class (i.e already live at a 170 base, etc.) The company is unique where you can transfer from CHQ to RW or S5 when upgrading to CA (i.e 145 F/O to 170 CA) and you do not lose you seniority. Upgrade time is about 18 mths, so if you do get the 145, you'll eventually be CA in the 170 at some point not too far down the road. Good luck.
Upgrade time
WAS about 18 months, now for a new hire it will probably be 3 years! That is unless Brian gets about 40 more airframes on top of whats already coming in 2008!
