Nothing should engender more hometown love than letting Delta be the the airline that keeps Boeing employees in groceries. That’ll be a nice “News at 6” teaser.
I personally don't think too many people in the PNW care about Boeing other than actual Boeing employees anymore. They've taken WA taxpayers for a ride getting 8.7 billion dollar tax cuts to "save jobs" which the politicians foolishly gave them with no hard guarantees, they moved the HQ to Chicago, they screwed up on the Max. Greedy management has run Boeing into the ground and the workers of course pay the price. Boeing doesn't get or deserve much hometown love and not too many people outside of Boeing and Delta employees care much about a Delta Max order in my opinion anyway.
