For the most part I see this fleet as a gem. Very easy, some might say boring domestic trips, unrivaled European destinations out of EWR and incredibly satisfying airplane to fly as well.

I truly hope this is not the end of the road for this fleet. I have truly enjoyed my time on her and all the places she’s taken me.
Not to thread drift, but as an exCon, the 756 BES always seen to take it in the shorts. Crew rest seat (in coach), Pay, etc..
Then with the merger, again.. Pay and on the 75-2, crew rest seat!
Not to mention the blended rate with regard to vacation...
Flying moving around from different bases with regards to the 764..

My comment was in regards to the fact that the company could still have flown a handful of lines. And kept everyone on the hook.
As a local guy who is now back on reserve.. I NEVER expected to fly next month. Hoped to, but just never expected to.
So for the company to decide at the last minute to readjust their route plans for May AND turn around and tell the 756 Pilot Group that they would be released is not a bad 'deal' in the grand picture of things.
At least now all the commuters who were on reserve can actually relax.. less stress.
Less Stress = healthier mind = healthier body!

I expect that in June, some flying will come back and I'll be up in the air more.
Will have no problem covering the slack if commuters can't make it up, or have family/health issues.
This thing will be around for a while (until we get a cure/vaccine.. probably into 2021). We need to try and work together.
I think the company is trying to do the right thing here.

Hence my comment. It's about the 756 BES in the big picture of things, going back to 2000~
Meant no slam, or joke about it.
Always
