What a bummer. Anyway, the time to think about this is before it happens. ALWAYS have a skill to fall back on. It doesn't have to be high end, just something to pay bills and eat. Maybe your degree is marketable. Do you have a trade? If no to both, look at a "Quickie' skill. Maybe LPN, medical assistant and so on. Don't spend all your life at a regional either. Give it 10 good years or so and move on. Majors are for the under 40 or Mil. crowd. You will do long term financial damage to yourself hanging out in this career waiting for the call up. Then you will be furloughed again. The time you spend could be used to build a solid career and your own business. GOOD LUCK!
