I’m betting this is the company’s overall strategy while they accomplish displacements/furloughs this summer/fall... decrease NB frequency flying hub/hub by using less frequent WB flights between hubs (2 WB day vs 6 NB day).
I don’t see them scheduling multiple daily flights to international destinations until demand increases and the WBs can be moved back from hub/hub as NB crews are trained.
I’m still expecting 1400 furlough notifications effective on Oct 1st... equivalent of entire 756 fleet’s 1900 pilots less retirements over the next year. Furloughs will then slow to couple hundred a month until they see a better demand picture.
