I don’t discount furloughs in October, however the idea that we will furlough a huge batch right off the bat because we are so overstaffed does not seem realistic, unless they park the entire A220 fleet. With only 2 sims, limited LCA resources, and reduced block hours available for OE, it’s gonna take a long time to train an entire new group of displaced pilots on the 220, which will slow the rate of furloughs down. The slower furloughs go, the farther we are into the recovery and the retirement wave, which should reduce the end total number of furloughs.
