You're missing the point. I was on the same flight as OP. My problem was the hypocrisy of AA with their bs emails from Parker, the bs on the website about safety and caring about crew and pax. The hypocrisy of making sure we social distanced at the gate while boarding, God I HATE that term, then pack us in like a regular day, NOT requiring or handing out masks!
I'm not a big Delta fan, but at least they hand out a snack bag which includes Purell wipes while boarding.
