Not a dig against the OP, or any post on this thread, but most of the people that I have flown with who came from the regional airlines or the military are clueless when it comes to the world of the freight dog. They see UPS and FedEx pilots making big bucks and wonder why we can’t do the same. They don’t see that those companies are large shipping companies, and that the aircraft are just really fast trucks. If an airline like United were to convert some planes to freighters and try to compete in the bulk freight game, companies like Atlas and Kalitta would be our competition, and they would kill us.
