Thats not how he operates. He buys the metal and then shops for the lowest bidder to fly his planes and freight. It is just like we do with the regionals. We buy planes and shop for the cheapest regional to haul our passengers. I wish that it would work. I’d much rather fly freight than passengers. If we retire the 767-300 I would expect Bezos to buy quite a few, but he doesn’t want us. Our WB first officers make more than Atlas captains. It’s only an investment if you stand a realistic chance of making a profit. Going up against Atlas in the ACMI market wouldn’t be an investment, it would be more like buying a boat.
