The truth is he might be right.

But he also might be wrong.

So many wild cards in play. If any of us truly knew how this was going to play out, we’d invest our money in the winners and short the losers. We’d end up bazillionaires within the next few years.

Most of the economic experts are calling for this to be a worse recession than the 2008 financial crisis. But not all of them. Some are saying, like Trump, that the economy will come roaring back by the end of the year. Others are saying it’ll be as bad or worse than the Great Depression. Who knows?

There’s a famous quote often attributed to Mark Twain that’s kind of apropos here: “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”
