Said this on another thread, but imagine if Southwest and JetBlue joined at the hip, both with very strong balance sheets. Not that WN would want to part with the all Boeing model. But, B6's East Coast, Caribbean, Central and South America...oh and don't forget A321LR/XLR to Europe, and 70 A220-300's on the order book to help offset the MAX troubles. Combined with WN's network, East, Midwest, West Coast, and Hawaii. That combination would be the size of a Big 3 while also being a domestic powerhouse with a Long-Range narrow-body international future.
I'm not a proponent of more mergers but I've thought for years that a combined B6 and WN would make for an absolute beast of carrier to contend with. The network structures would compliment each other incredibly well. We shall see, we're just along for the ride!
