I think you are misinterpreting the numbers. I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time.
Anyways, first everyone needs to understand that the seniority numbers in the displacement letter were saying people below that number can't hold CA or WB FO. That number was 6800 something. That says nothing about where the company will draw the line on furloughs. Remember we have 13,000 or so pilots on the list. 30% is 4,000 guys going down to seniority numbers in the 9,000s and thats AFTER the July re-update of your seniority number which should move about 400 - 500 from what you are now. Most importantly it appears the company is planning for the absolute worst case scenario and is probably being too aggressive to start. Honestly, I do not believe a 2000/2007 hire will be furloughed, but like I said just my opinion, and I have been wrong before. The real issue as some have alluded is what management will estimate for summer 2021, and there is a TON of data and time yet to come in before anyone can think of summer 2021. Let's all pray for a stronger rebound in traffic than currently expected.
