Total that's about a $5-$7/hr in additional pay for our CR2 pilots and when you add the CR7/9 BHO (Brand Holt Override) to the equation that takes is up another $1-$5/hr ($8-$12 total) dependant upon your year and seat. Unfortunately 1st year pilots don't get the bonuses and 2nd year pilots only get about 25% (what it works out to be in $) of them. His needs to also be addressed in the pay proposal, every pilot should get all the bonuses seeing we all assist in the productivity of this airline. Now if you count base hourly rates, yes XJT has us beat in just about every year.

BTW, I have a friend who works for XJT and he started class two weeks after I started with SKW. His W2’s were $300 higher than mine after yr 1 and I beat him by almost $5K in year two. Just saying, we can argue all you want but that's all we’ll be doing.

I voted YES for ALPA and I’ll vote NO for this BS pay proposal!
First of all, its not like we don't get anything for the 1.95%. That is money well spent so its not just being thrown away. Secondly, not everyone pays 1.95%. All probationary pilots (one year and sometimes more) are exempt from paying any dues. Also, you are not required to be a member so those people don't pay dues (unless their MEC's policy requires a shop fee and if so that is only 1.45%). And lastly, ALL dues are tax deductible and therefore the effective dues rate might actually be lower.

As for XJT, we don't have anything more than 50 seat aircraft. So our pay does not reflect rates for larger aircraft. Next, we have on time bonuses as well and profit sharing (which we can cancel and automatically receive a 3% pay rate increase). Also, we have 401k matching as well as a defined benefit plan. Lastly, our vacation rules are exceptional and allows us to maximize time off with minimum vacation days and or maximize pay. If you are here long enough you can pretty much count on getting almost four months out of the year off without worrying about being denied your vacation.

In other words, its not an apples to apples comparison because work rules are all different from one place to another. Therefore you can maximize time off or pay according to your contract at different rates from one place to another.

Because we all deserve better pay than the current highest pay!

Wake up man!
Umm...you want to have lower productivity (increased QOL). This is the reason why W2 comparisons are not apples to apples. Also, having a union does NOT mean you are anti-management. I'm an example of that.

But I would never say anyone owes me anything because they don't.

Mesa is an entirely different subject. I wish more of the people who try to tell SKW pilots how to manage their company would re-direct their concern towards their union brothers over at MAG...that's a REAL problem which needs fixing.
Mesa pilots gave up a lot of leverage in bringing reigning in scope to have Freedom on the same seniority list. This is why they don't have better pay and work rules, as I understand it at least.

Anyways, is a 50%+1 of votes cast required to "ratify" or is it like the ALPA vote?
