A few days ago, I find out he's leaving LA for San Jose because he got a new job at Apple HQs.

It dawned on me that when I talked to him that day, he had probably already been furloughed or was about to be furloughed from his startup. That's why his comments on the airlines and their bailouts. To answer your question, with how bad this whole situation is getting and how bad it will continue to be, don't expect any sympathy from the public when it comes to airlines and our jobs.
I never wanted nor asked for 'sympathy' from the public. Just the opposite.. I want the public to read about airlines that took money and are now going to be throwing 10's of thousands of employees on the street. Unless, of course.. it's isn't 10's of thousands and it's just United.

Interesting.. so your friend got hired at a new job in these trying times?
Do you not think that people at APPLE, Google, other high tech firms.. and other businesses, are not going to need to travel in the Fall? Are Americans just going to stop traveling? Come on now.

To throw out a 4500+ displacement bid based on 'zero recovery' is not Core 4, it's 4 Fear. It's to scare the pilots and the union.
SK WANTS something. He's gambling. It is who he is.

At least the IAM AW Leadership called him out on it.

Stay Focused everyone.. don't give into the FEAR.
