yeah, but I would think more training would require more PIs to be on staff. And every PI off the line is another slot requirement on the line which could be an indirect way to reduce some furloughs.

and if many PIs are junior and on the chopping block, wouldn’t they have to be replaced by someone before 10/1? How long does it take to train a PI’s replacement? Or will they just keep them on staff and furlough pilots senior to them?
