Just read the entire thread - I'll never get that time back but noticed some have voiced negative vibes for the regionals. Since the pilots at the major level are paid more in a month than many are compensated in a year at the regional level - then by all means be envious.
Truth is - the regional jet IS the right plane for the market during this crisis but pilots are too myopic to admit it. RJ's could possibly save the company but misery loves company so that will not be employed.
No one makes big money with RJ's but having a job to come back to trumps the shared pain sentiment that is universally held by our social justice demanding enculturated populace. Remember Comair was a profitable hub and spoke standalone that DAL purchased for north of $3B
