Yes, virtue signaling, and you’re doing it again with the classy nonsense. I, like everyone else, have lifelong friends and acquaintances who are likely to be on the street in 5 months. It flat sucks. They will find a helping hand from me supposing I’m in a position to help.

There’s going to be winners and losers in this. And quite a few of the losers are going to be guys and gals who looked like they had the world by its very own tail just a few months ago. But this isn’t an everybody wins type thing. So I see no problem with people hoping that one’s own company positions itself well to come out stronger when this is over. Several won’t. Mine could certainly go either way.

I’m not saying to throw it in other pilot/pilot group faces or to talk trash to them on the jump seat or forum for that matter. Do you think most don’t realize that the deck chairs are likely to get shuffled a bit at the end of this?

If picking some arbitrary point in our circuit around the sun to talk about plans moving forward makes you feel better then have at it. I don’t need that crutch, because it’s possible to entertain multiple ideas at once. Every management group is in survival mode right now. A very few are also thinking aggressively about what comes next because of their cash position.

Or or are you going to lobby SWA to not take more gates, in Denver for example, in hopes that United keeps more people employed? I doubt very much GK will be reining things in so that competitors can compete again when the dust settles.
