You would have to imagine that for every "adjustment" made to a contract, the partner will have to give something up that SkyWest wants. UA wants out of the 3 year 200 deal? sure, but they have to give X years of flying on some other airplane type one of their other WO operators or partner are doing. Purely a guess of course, but SkyWest don't do somethin' for nuthin'!
Thats a very delicate tightrope SKW has to walk. You are a subcontractor, refuse to play ball and the ball can be downsized/taken away.
