yes you can, look up Illinois unemployment. It is based on the prior 2 quarters of income. Your weekly unemployment benefit is 47% of your average over the last 2 quarters. If you are “underemployed” and the total of your current income is less than 47% of your average you are eligible to file for unemployment. The amount you will receive will bring you up to the 47% mark or state maximum whichever is lower. If you receive any benefit you are eligible to receive the $600 weekly government check. For just about every FO that will be more than ZW pays.
There is a special exemption if your hours are voluntarily reduced due to the downturn caused by covid.
