I’m one of those training guys. The company did give me VTO and is covering my benefits. No furlough.
Perhaps it was I-VTO....involuntary-voluntary time off. But getting us off property was the correct/right business decision. Other regionals kept training going then suddenly furloughed ’em all. Now keeping us in a company status has promised a future on the back side. I am thankful.
Oh, what that future holds (post covid) I do wonder. Month after month of reserve (years?), DTW or ORD (maybe MSP) for a very long time? Ten or 15 years until mainline? It’s kinda funny in a way. Lucky to be last in... but how many years reserve will that equal?!
