There will be no vaccine. Coronaviruses have never had vaccines.
We have had (with varying degrees of success) functional coronavirus vaccines in animals for some time. Obviously a far cry from developing a vaccine for this coronavirus and doing it for humans, but to make a blanket statement that such a thing isn't possible is needlessly fearmongering. It's a slow process. The 12-18 month timeline is a Herculean effort and that target might be missed, but that's not to say we can't get there.
