As 80 pointed out, the company’s hand is not exactly clean in the blame game. That being said, I don’t necessarily see the Union communications as ‘blaming” anyone. Pilots are looking for answers to questions (like why no ERP yet) and the Union is answering them in a Union communique. How else is the Union supposed to get information out? I can see how that might be construed as placing blame but that is not the way I see it.
Speaking of results, the word ‘progress’ was used a few times, not by me, but attributed to me. I like the word ‘results’ more. Results are quantifiable, progress is subjective.
Results are a function of meeting and negotiating. If one party won’t meet and negotiate then there will be no results. There have been results at the negotiating table. The biggest one being LOA 20-01.......which the Company almost immediately reneged on. They didn’t violate the letter technically but certainly did the spirit of it. There have also been other small results like the recent MOU. IMO the Company is just not ready to enter into serious cost savings negotiations because.....they are still trying to figure things out! The problem is a possible huge cost savings idea (ERP) could pass them by if not acted on soon. It seems to me the Company is putting the cart before the horse with putting out a displacement bid before any ERP.
Thanks for the civil debate. Like I said, I respect your opinion.
btw, did you ever live in Moab?
Anytime!

It’s my feeling that, in any debate, the person who starts name calling etc has already lost the debate.
And I yours. We all know what opinions are like..........and I are one of those!
Nope, never lived in Utah. Discussed it with my wife a long time ago and we decided to stay in the Seattle area.
