Here is another stunt that Clay Lacy pulled that hasn't been mentioned in this thread. After the strike, when he was approaching age 60 retirement, he "found" a family bible that "proved" that he was a year younger than was shown on his pilot certificate or job application. Since he was a good SCAB, the company went to bat for him with the Feds and he got to fly for another year as 747 cAPTAIN.
Interestingly, after the strike, one of our SCAB DC-10 F/Os was promoted to LAX chief pilot. When I went out, He was an F/O, when I came back after the strike, he was the chief pilot. After he retired, he went to work for Lacy.
