Half the guarantee plus all bennies till age 65 is a minimum if you want any takers at all (look at AA). That's not cheap, and although helpful, it doesn't help the junior guys from furlough all that much.
I agree with you right up until the last sentence. It's not cheap, and if it saves even one job, it will have been worthwhile. Hopefully our offer is at least on parity with the AA and JetBlue offers.
