It will take a few years, but things will get better. I’d bet in 2 years, Regionals will be hiring again and recalling the furloughed guys. Then, bottom guys will start to see some flying and get some lines and start the slow move up. When the majors start hiring again (probably 5-7 years) then you will start to see movement at the regionals allowing you to start accruing enough time to upgrade after a few years. But for sure, the 3 year from regional to major time frame has gone and reset to probably 7-10 year. Another lost decade. If the virus resurges with a vengeance, tack another 1-2 years on to that time frame. But it will recover eventually.
I want a Domino calendar. Where each day, you tear off a page and it reveals another inspirational Domino quote. Most people would probably throw themselves out a window by mid-January.
