As far as I remember, you can only have a certain max income and assets for medicaid. Maybe like 800 bucks a month and maybe like $500 or $1000 in assets. Anything beyond that, Medicaid could "take" to offset the cost.
Yep just like so many things (medical costs, long term care, legal costs, etc) the rich don't have to worry about it, the poor are just given it, and the middle class gets a lifetime of wealth confiscated. I'm sure that will change when every "citizen of the world" gets access to the same entitlements.
