And no, I did not whine on any forums trying to convince others that concessions were in the best interest of the pilot group to save pilot jobs and/or United from BK. I never once played the “shame game” by posting on social media that senior pilots were selfish, and not team players, for not voluntarily cutting their guarantee/pay to save my pink butt. This industry is like a roller coaster... and how your career ends up is based purely on luck and when you hop on the ride... some choose better than others. What I did learn over the years is that the company doesn’t want or need more pilots than required to fly a full schedule... noticed I said full... not a partial schedules.

Yup, and no question that what is happening sucks for everyone. Sincerely wish none of it was happening. For those of
us who have lived it twice, most of us believe that the it could easily be a third. No joy in that. None. Not for us or ANYONE else.
