So the fear is automation. That's got to be the dumbest excuse for UBI.
We've always had productivity improvements.
At one time, fields were plowed with oxen. Automation got rid of many farm jobs.
Assembly lines have gotten rid of many manual labor jobs.

I'd put out a list of productivity improvements over the years, but automation is nothing new. Only a rube would buy that as an excuse for UBI.

Finally, before the 'rona arrived, unemployment was the lowest in decades. Now, how exactly is automation hurting employment?
