Second, the executive order signed by the Florida governor does NOT say "NJ resident". It doesn't say "NY resident". It says anyone traveling directly from those areas. I did not travel directly from NJ / NY and hence the order doesn't apply. A loophole to be true, but a valid one.
Third, as you kindly pointed out, the DHS has ruled that when essential workers are traveling in support of their job state orders don't apply. As the company requires us to maintain a professional appearance and I was traveling specifically to get a haircut in support of that requirement, I was more than justified doing what I did and I'll do it again in a couple months if my state governor doesn't see reason in that time.
And fourth, like countless millions not counted because we are denied testing, I already had covid. There is no reason for me to wear a mask, nor is there any reason for my travel to be restricted. The only thing anyone is getting from me is antibodies from my blood serum.
I recommend doing a lot more critical thinking and a lot less SJW posturing.
Critical thinking sometimes, as unfortunate as it is, requires research too. Keeping in mind neither one of us are lawyers, I think....here is an excerpt from the ABA website.
”
Both executive orders and proclamations have the force of law, much like regulations issued by federal agencies, so they are codified under Title 3 of the Code of Federal Regulations, which is the formal collection of all of the rules and regulations issued by the executive branch and other federal agencies.”

It could also be argued that getting a pair of clippers from Amazon without getting on a plane an “loopholing” your way to a fresh styling would have been just as possible and accomplished the same task. For instance, I spent thirty minutes on YouTube last month and put a nice medium fade on myself without breaking any executive order or guideline. Just saying, we accomplished the same thing in far different ways. I’d like to think I found my own “loophole” to a haircut.
Personally, I don’t care what you do. I think rights are being trampled on by every level of government right now to the general public, as well as imposing disastrous and subsequently potential generational altering economic impacts. But you can’t ridicule someone for posturing by doing the same. Just my non-attorney opinion.
