We pulled our last 175’s from ORD in Late winter/Early Spring 2017, so just over 3 years. Those planes were moved to PHL and MIA lines.

Currently, it’s 17 flights a day, with most cities starting on July 7th. MSP, IND, SDF are the most frequently flown with 3 daily each. The others are all 1-2 flights a day.

I wouldn’t say short term. ORD was slowly shrunk over those three years because of no AA flying initially, then followed by Delta. They won’t allow it to grow if it is short term, so only time will tell.

With that being said, if the AA 170 project is still alive, you will start to see more 140/145’s parked in favor of larger two class planes. A 65 seat 170 would have 9 First and 56 Y/Y+ which would compete nicely with UA’s CRJ550s at the smaller cities. For every 140 parked, that’s 21 seats added with a 170, plus the plane could have a slight price premium for the comfort.
