Just because they list vacation buy back doesn't mean they are actually doing it. Some seats yes --- i think they bought a lot of 777 vacation last few months. I'm pretty senior in the 76 and they haven't bought any of mine. i usually don't sell mine back but since the Covid thing is going on I had to cancel my planned vacations I thought what the heck I'll try it.
I didn't check who if any did get theirs bought in the 76
I completely understand how vacation buy back works. Had it a few times myself. You need to understand why they are even offering it in the first place. Its because they are not staffed as needed for the anticipated flying in that seat and base. Its so they have access to AVA when and if its needed that month to get pilots to fly extra. If they were staffed properly then no point of buy back or AVA.
