Are they talking voluntary (as in NO PAY) leaves, SILS (which they canceled earlier) or paid leaves/ERPs like all the other airlines?????
To me, "voluntary" doesn't sound like ANYTHING other than voluntary/unpaid leaves. If so, do they really think a lot amount of Delta pilots are going to take unpaid leaves to "sunstantially mitigate" ....the challenges? SILS would help, but their "optics" apparently will preclude their use, so in my mind, they must be talking about an ERP. Based on statements and lack of any movement in the direction of AA or SWA towards meaningful paid leaves/ERPs, I highly doubt the company is going to offer the pilots any packages that will get substantial interest. Thoughts?????
When the company was planning to release the voluntary separations and early retirement for everyone else, they stated that they could potentially prevent involuntary furloughs if enough people participated in the voluntary programs they were going to offer. So, probably that...
