The stock tanks or ya hold a nice take, but those that incrementally buy and sell are constantly reaveraging to stretch percentage gains to numbers higher than the charted line. If you're really confident in the stock, you should own calls.
Some of my best % gains were trading out of the money leaps. The biggest downside was not enough volume to sell when I wanted, but oh boy, the gains were addictive.
