I think I would do the math a bit differently. 11,800 active x .3 = 3540 less pilots. Of that 400 will retire off the top. Leaving 3140 to be furloughed off the bottom. Splitting hairs I know...still a huge number if it comes true.
Good point, that's more than the entire UPS unionized pilot workforce (~2950)
