Yet somehow, day in and day out since time immemorial, Delta planes have operated safely at airports with taxiways named "delta".
Even at other Delta hubs. If you ask me (and no one did) the problem lies with the ATL pilots and their...specialness. Now, rename it to taxiway whiskey and then I'll be happy!
