Delta's corporate support of BLM amounts to workplace harassment. BLM is a political movement that advocates defunding the police. A culture has evolved in which, if you disagree with any aspect of BLM, you are racist. (similar sentiment is used in posts above).

Stats don't back the idea that police target black people. Twice as many white men are killed by police than black men. The media does not report on white victims of police homicide, because they want black people to believe they are being victimized. Other demographics are ignored, for example almost twice as many Native Americans are killed by police as black people per capita, but that is never reported. White men are killed at a rate 10 times that of black females.

If we are making the case that black people suffer relatively in our society, why do we only look at police homicide stats. There are over 500,000 incidents of interracial violent crime each year. 90% of those crimes are committed by black people on white victims. A police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than a police officer is to kill an unarmed black man. For every one black male killed by police, almost 300 are killed by other black males.

After 911, Delta did a good job of teaching us that we should judge people based on their actions and not their skin color, ethnicity, religion or gender. What are we doing now? We are judging all cops and all non-black people based on the actions of some. 15 years ago there were videos online of Extremist Muslims sawing off the heads of white Christians. Was it or would it have been right to hold all Muslims accountable for the actions of the extremists? To get them to kneel in support of western Christians? To apologize for their Muslim faith? Absolutely not, they had nothing to do with it. But that is what is happening today. The video of the murder of George Floyd is being used to generalize and stereotype the behavior of all cops and it is being used to intimidate non-black people into supporting BLM politics under the threat of baseless charges of racism.

Evil happens when good men do nothing. The current effort to intimidate non-black or non-liberal people into adopting BLM ideology is bigoted and contrary to a free republic and has no place at Delta Airlines.
