Honestly, I would explain why except I got time off last time I did that. Ask some of the few EAL guys (all SCABs I believe) you hired after the strike ... they probably remember.

I'd be surprised if DAL hired any EAL scabs. I believe both the union and management at DAL were on the same page with that(no scabs)...maybe now too. I believe most of the EAL scabs went to either UAL or the FAA. While we're on the subject of UAL scabs, I jumpsat on a UAL 727 way back when, and the Capt and F/E couldn't have been nicer to me. The Capt. welcomed me onboard and introduced me to the F/E then said, The F/O is a scab, we don't talk to him. The F/O never said a word the whole leg. It was something. I also remember all the UAL pilots carried "clicker" noise makers. When they saw a scab in the crew room or terminal they would start clicking the noise maker. Sometimes there would be a dozen clickers going.
