As someone else said, I don’t think United even knows what they are doing in IAH yet. The reality is though, even before the base, we had a large presence there peaking at 60 flights a day PRE IAH BASE. Even once the base was started, other bases continued to do a lot of the flying, even to this year. The base is small enough still, that I believe Even if only a portion of our UA flying returns, it along with the return of DL and AA flight can support the base. Remember, the CBA now costs the company a lot of money to move a displaced pilot.

Skywest is converting 67 seat (Large RJ) -700's into 65 seat -700's (small RJ).
AA operates on a ratio of mainline Narrowbody to American Eagle. Eagle is capped overall at 75% of the narrowbody fleet, with large RJ’s being capped at 40% of the narrow body fleet.

Every CRJ7 that is reduced increases the small RJ number, the CRJ2 more or less are being replaced within scope compliance by CRJ7’s. Envoy is also still taking delivery of new 175’s, so a new 175 is replacing every CRJ7 moved to 65 seats. So on the large RJ side, they are still over scope.
