True, but that’s not the point. The point is that a junior pilot should not get a position before a senior pilot.
Im not necessarily referring to myself. I know of several very senior FOs that normally sit towards the top of the list and do lots of premium and make more than some captains. Now that premium and make up has dried up, they have lost lots of income, and thus they have decided it’s time to upgrade. But they didn’t get the upgrade because a bunch of junior displacements took the slots, despite the fact they are far senior.
My point is that they should have run preferences first, then run displacements. Doing it that way would respect seniority.
