Default Regional Pay Rates

How does your airline stack up?

The purpose of this thread is to show the general standing of each airline with regards to pay rates in the industry. I know several airlines are in negotiations (Pinnacle, Republic, Skywest, Horizon), and I just wanted to point out some numbers so everyone is on the same page when voting.

CRJ-900/E175 5th Year Captain
Republic = $77
Mesa = $69
Skywest = $67
Comair = $66
Mesaba = $66

CRJ-700/E170 5th Year Captain
Horizon = $80
Eagle = $73
Republic = $70
ASA = $69
Skywest = $67
Comair = $66
Mesa = $64

CRJ-200/E145 5th Year Captain
Expressjet = $69
Eagle = $69
Republic = $67
AWAC= $66
ASA = $66
Skywest = $64
Comair = $63
Pinnacle = $62
Mesaba = $62
Mesa = $61

CRJ-700/900/E170/E175 2nd Year FO
Horizon = $42
ASA = $38
Skywest =$37
Comair = $36
Eagle = $32
Republic = $31
Mesa = $29
Mesaba = $28

CRJ-200 2nd Year FO
AWAC= $36
ASA = $35
Skywest= $35
Comair = $34
Expressjet = $34
Republic = $31
Mesa = $29
Mesaba = $28
Pinnacle = $24

First Year FO
Horizon = $29
AWAC = $25
Eagle = $24
Mesaba = $24
Expressjet = $23
Republic = $23
ASA = $23
Comair = $22
Mesa = $22
Pinnacle = $21
Skywest = $19

A few of my personal comments:

1. If your airline pays less than Mesa for a certain rate, there is a problem.

2. Vote NO on the Skywest pay proposal. Even with those new rates, you are still well behind several of the other airlines. Ask management to negotiate with you a little. If they do not negotiate, then vote in ALPA.

3. Republic has good captain rates and I believe they will vote in an industry leading contract. However the FO rates are pretty terrible right now, so that should be a focus. How about 2 FO rates (one for E135/E140/E145/CRJ, and one for E170/E175/E190)

4. Comair's concessions put them at near the bottom of the industry (especially for captain pay). When is their contract ammendable?

5. Mesaba's concessions put them at near the bottom of the industry (captain and FO pay), so good luck in 2009.

6. Pinnacle has pretty lousy rates across the board, so good luck in your contract negotiations. I hope you guys shoot above Expressjet or Republic, maybe even near Horizon.

7. ASA voted in what looked like a good TA, but I think their rates will be towards the bottom after this round of negotiations over the next 2-3 years.

8. There is no reason why you cannot have the rates Horizon has. You just have to negotiate. Especially for first year pay!
