Where did you get this information? Maybe 1/3 of the 05 hires came from Continental Express and of those that did, less than 200 kept longevity for pay or vacation. Heck, the reason given to me by several 20 year plus original COEX pilots I’ve flown with for not “coming over” in 2005 was, wait for it....the pay-insurance-loss of vacation etc. The 113 or whatever the group was called took longevity with them I believe but there were reasons for that and I’m sure someone more fluent in Continental/Continental Express will chime in with details. Came from the dudes that flowed up. Many have corroborate similar details. As to how many fit under that category don’t know and don’t really care. I have no dog in that fight being a post merger hire.
As you’ve stated, many someone with intimate knowledge of the details can chime in dot the “I”s and cross the “T”s. The fact still remains that’s one helluva deal for those who fell under it.
