I'm guessing that the vast majority of pilots at PS never had to contend with thousands of furloughed pilots before. Ok. Just spoke with my good friends who both are in the CPO at Southwest and another at a large 135. They laughed hysterically at the thought of making contact at home office and showing up. The best way is to find an AF tail near you and make contact that way. The 91k 135 doesn't operate like a 121. If you have the 121 mindset PS will be a challenge operationally as well as training.
HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH PRECLUDING CULTURE.
