Ahhhh this is the stuff I come to APC and The Farm for, people opining on contract items of which they haven't even read the details.
I guess it is hard to see what NYC 190 would realistically operate considering the current level of flying. 190 only operates JFK-SYR/ROC/ACK/MVY/BOS/ORH. What would you envision it operate in the future to justify a base vs having BOS based 190 pilots fly through and cover?

I dont see much of a path forward for 60 190s in the fleet lasting until we get 220s to replace them. We would need a drastic increase in business travel demand. The only case I could see is the FAA not extending the slot usage waiver for JFK/LGA/DCA and forcing everyone to use it or lose it after October 24th. If airlines are forced to squat on slots then yes we should keep the fleet around and fly JFK-DCA-LGA and back all day just to cover the slots.
