I, in no way want to keep this topic going, but I just had to add my ISL experience which is similar. I was a LUAL pilot doing USAFR duty as a T37 IP in 2001 and taught a National Guard guy to fly. He went on to get hired at CAL and is now senior to me.
Since you are military you might appreciate this...I just got back from a temp job overseas working Current Ops for a 3-star. He was my room mate in flight school. I was the genius who tried to talk him out of staying in back in 1999. I had it on good authority I was going to be a Shuttle Captain in 2-years! In case you are wondering I'm not a 3-star or was a Shuttle Captain.
