Finished up recurrent yesterday. They mentioned there are roughly 2000 pilots facing landing currency issues. They’re doing their best to catch up. But the obvious problems are catching up with required training from being shut down, lack of available flights to get current, and sim and instructor availability.
unfortunately it’s just not as simple as it used to be when you needed currency.
Everyone has their own level of comfort with “proficiency.” In my case with less than 600 TT in the type, 40 hours this year, and not flying in months, I’m hesitant to function as a captain with a 120-150 extension.
