My long time friends in the biz always told me that you won't know if you made the correct choice on your airline until you retire. I say bunk to that now. This management team has shown what they want to do to us and how much they "care" about the pilot group at DAL. I'm too vested in the seniority list to jump ship. I'll have to ride this seniority list to the end. Needless to say I will now have eyes wide open for my remaining time here.
Without condoning or condemning your choice, that is the major downfall in going in on something because of “feelings & press” vs what’s on a spreadsheet or in a contract. They’ve done a masterful job of spinning a tale with no basis in reality and you’re far from the only person to find this out.
Some are still whistling in the woods, thinking these are the old days because their little bubble hasn’t been punctured...yet. Those that held on the longest seem to be the most upset when they find its just some words on website.
