I highly doubt the NDA is related to FA negotiations. Does anyone remember any MEC wide NDAs while we were both in negotiations in 2018?
Besides, you'd only need an NDA to keep negotiations secret from the FAs in a world where FAs actually listen to pilots in the first place.
As for the deal itself, I won't speculate, but I'll suggest putting yourself in an LEC member's shoes. What kind of deal would you be willing to be on the hook voting "Yes" for that could have gone to a memrat instead? For me, that's gotta be a pretty easy call because last thing I'd want is to face the threat of a recall over the next 10 months after voting for a total screw job of an LOA that keeps ****ed off pilots around long enough to vote you out.
The Q2 earnings call should be in a couple of weeks, so let's see if we hear anything new between now and then. Personally, I like Flyby's conspiracy. That seems like the best case scenario here.
There's only 20 Jetblue ALPA pilots who know everything right now. At the bare minimum, the rest of us know all 4100 of us have jobs until May of next year because of a deal with MEC approval. The MEC told us that because all of us have some degree of stress related to our futures and they saw an opportunity to to help relieve some of that stress. Let's take a breath, crack a beer, enjoy a slow summer for once, and see where this wild ride takes us, and hopefully we can watch the delta subforum burn down once we get the rest of the details.
